Job Description:
Gidsy is looking for a senior developer who wants to join a fast-paced startup to build great things. As a part of the team, your responsibilities will be to work on new key features, help us scale, contribute to the product and optimize performance. You’ll work closely with our CTO in an agile development environment. The job offers lots of challenges and you’ll get all the benefits of joining a young startup that’s aiming high.
The ideal candidate for this position is:
- Someone with 4+ years of experience as a Web Developer
- Very knowledgeable in Cloud Computing (EC2) and/or *nix Administration
- A native in Python and Django (or at least one other web application framework) development
- Experienced in SQL, Nginx, Postgres, Memcache, Chef, Ruby, Unix
- Passionate about Test Driven Development
- Good in teams, and has strong interpersonal and communication skills
- A B.S. in Computer Science or related field
- An active member of the open-source community
